Acromag EtherStax I/O
Industrial Ethernet Stackable I/O Blocks
EtherStax high-density I/O blocks are designed for high-reliability operation and process up to 96 I/O channels on a single, vertically-stackable unit. Each I/O block has redundant network and power ports to ensure dependable operation. Rugged, aluminum enclosures protect against shock and vibration. A lower-cost open circuit board version is also available.
Rugged, Industrial-Grade Design
Units feature an extended operating temperature range, 3-way isolation and surge protection. The I/O circuitry has over-temperature, over-voltage, and over-current protection. Redundant communication paths and DC power help prevent downtime on critical applications. If network communication is lost, outputs fail safely and a relay provides local alarming or shutdown functions.
i2o® Peer-to-Peer Communication
Input channels on one unit can write directly to output channels on another unit without a host controller in between.
Digital I/O
High density digital I/O with up to 96 channels/unit for cost/space-efficiency. These units provide an easy way to interface a very large quantity of discrete I/O to your control system. Some models support high-voltage signals with isolation between all circuits for extra reliability.
- Up to 96 discrete I/O (any input/output mix)
- Channel-to-channel isolation adds protection and noise immunity
- Fast updates refresh data on all 96 channels in 1mS
- Peer-to-peer i2o messaging sends fast updates in <5mS
- Change of state detection catches quick changes
- Loop-back monitoring confirms output state
High Density Analog I/O
High density analog I/O with up to 64 inputs or 16 outputs per unit. These units can interface a lot of inputs and/or outputs to your network. Differential inputs eliminate ground loops. Built-in loopback circuits help verify the output values.
- Up to 64 SE (32 differential) DC voltage or current inputs
- 16-bit A/D and D/A ensures precision and accuracy
- Scans all inputs in <10mS; scans 4-ch group in 770µS
- Updates outputs in <1mS/ch
- DB25 easily connects a rack of isolated 8B I/O modules
- Integrator/totalizer function has non-volatile memory
